Powerless and Clueless

2 Chronicles 20:12 O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless against this mighty army that is about to attack us. We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.” Not only did they feel powerless, they also felt clueless. Weakness along with confusion, make for a bad combination! It's not uncommon for us to find ourselves in similar predicaments, but there is a solution. We must look to God, who is never lacking in wisdom or power. Our deprived condition can actually become a positive in that they lead us to look to God for help. It's only a positive if we humbly acknowledge it, but many still choose to rely on their own strength and wisdom, which ultimately leads to failure and defeat. This verse would be a great prayer for us to pray every morning as we start our day, and God is surely ready to show His might to everyone who sincerely seeks Him. Lord help us in our frailty in the face of our enemy, to seek you until we find strength from your Holy Spirit in our inner man (Ephesians 3:16).

  1. That is a good word Pastor. I'm thankful that you make the time to share the word with us in this way. We as Christians need The Lord in every part of our lives. And I am glad that He is ever present. God Bless
