Let Us Lead

Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Just in case you have been sleeping for the past few years, this world is growing more and more wicked. The gods of this world are money, sex and pride among others. These gods are worshipped with a passionate devotion, and we must not be snared by following the course of this world. We shouldn't be followers, but instead we should be leaders in this life. Our lives should be salt and light for all to know and see. We should be the best employee at the factory, the most honest salesman on the lot, the man or woman at the office who is known for integrity and work ethic. We should be generous givers, lovers of peace and joy, enjoying the blessings that many take for granted. We should follow the Lord in such a way that others are compelled to follow our lead. We shouldn't follow the world or be conformed to it, but instead we should be showing the way because we know it. Let's not follow the world and their gods,  let us lead the world to Him!
