On the Move
Numbers 4:5 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
The tabernacle in the wilderness was mobile, because God's people were on a journey. They were out of Egypt, but not yet in the promised land. The day would come when a permanent temple would be built by Solomon, but not yet. There were still some obstacles between them and their land. Still some walls around Jericho, still some giants to overcome, still a Jordan river to cross. We too have a mobile temple. We have come out of Egypt, but our journey isn't over, not yet. We still have some walls to overcome, and we will. We still have some enemies to face, and we will prevail. we are a church on the move, but one day we will enter in to the new Jerusalem where there will be no need for a temple, because the Lord Himself will be seated on the throne.
Until then, let us not become settled or stagnant.

May we all continue to move forward, let us not get complacent with where we are but remain active in furthering and expanding God's Kingdom. Our journey is not over...... let's with excitement see where an what God can do through us.
ReplyDeleteDuring my six o'clock prayer group time yesterday , I was listening to God's voice within me. Sometimes I don't speak at all but just listen and focus, meditating on God's voice. I beleive that God is putting another sermon in my heart. I have a sense of urgency within that I cannot deny! Life is too short and who we are and what we have is so valuable. Hardships and trials, temptations and sin are sometimes causing our sense of urgency for God and our awareness to the truth to weaken. When my father died I changed. Some for good and some not. God has been restoring our relationship and I am so grateful for His mercy, love for me and His faithfulness. In my spirit I see people who have been through hard times and it has left them weakened and ignorant. But, God is faithful! He will complete in us what He started! I beleive God can and will restore us, we need to pick up our mat, our excuse for not getting better. No matter what has happened, what others do, how we feel , where we are , we can trust in God!
