Let Us Chase

Leviticus 26:7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

In this chapter, we are seeing the promise of blessings for obedience. I love the phrase "you will chase your enemies"! Too often we coward down before the devil and his tactics. We run and hide, or surrender altogether. We cry out for help to God so that He might deliver us. For the Israelite that had God's blessing, he could run after his enemies, even though he might seem over powered. He could chase, because he was backed by the Almighty. There is a time to seek shelter in God's presence, and there is a time of waiting and healing. But there is also a time to charge! A time to chase, a time to fight. A time to advance by faith. Why do we fail to charge, and instead retreat so often? I believe that many times we are still operating as if we are under the Old Covenant. Our victory does not come because of obedience, but because of disobedience and condemnation, we are not chasing, and instead, being chased. Our victory is not contingent, it has already been provided. We run, not under our own flag, but He is our banner, and He is our righteousness! We must change the object of our faith from our performance to His finished work, and when we do, the gates of hell will not be able to stay on their hinges. Let us chase.

  2. Not under our own flag BUT under the Lords Banner / Jehovah Nesse
Our banner or even better our victor! Glory the battle is not ours its the Lords...why do we fight so hard? when good, bad or ugly we still win with the Lord on our side. Sister Diane

  3. This is cool! I like to think that I can chase my enemies down and destroy them! Awareness is the issue for me sometimes. I geuss I have a difficult time knowing that I have victory over anything that would stand in God's way. God help me read your word more often so that the eyes of my heart can be opened to the truth, in Jesus name.Amen.
