Come on In

Exodus 26:33 ....and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.

Separation was not what God wanted. He desires fellowship. Remember how He would walk with Adam in the garden. That was God's reason for creating us. Then came sin, and the knowledge of good and evil, which revealed man's corrupt nature after the fall. The veil was there the moment that man sinned in the garden. The relationship between God and man was never the same again. The construction of the tabernacle illustrated this separation very clearly. Man's attempts to be holy could not get him through the veil that separated the holy place from the most holy place. Our God is not merely holy, He is most holy, and we are not. There seems to be no solution. A holy God that desires fellowship with an unholy people. It was the ministry of the High Priest to enter through the veil one time each year, but only with blood to offer to make atonement for the sins of the people. That thick, heavy curtain was a reminder of how our flesh is at odds with God, but everything changed at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Word became flesh, and without sin, pleased the Father. As His body was broken, and His flesh was ripped and torn, He gave up the ghost, and something remarkable happened. That curtain, that veil, that barrier that kept man out of the most holy place, was ripped from the top to the bottom. A man, a sinless man, the God man, had undone what we had done. He didn't need the blood of bulls goats, His blood was much more precious! He walked right into the Holy of Holies and said "high dad"! And as our elder brother, He has left the door open for us to come into the most holy place and fellowship with our Father. The veil is gone, come on in!

  1. I am thankful for the access that Jesus has provided for me. Because of his sacrifice I can come to God personally and freely. Thank you Jesus for removing the veil that separated us from God and giving us an all access pass to the Most Holy One!!!

  2. Wow! What could change in our life if we took this invitation seriously!? How many of our neighbors or family members would be saved as a result? I think we need to meditate on this invitation until we enter in, or maybe we should stay on our face before God until we enter in! What an unappreciated, underestimated, untapped blessing of God! Oh God please help us to see what we have in You!
