Genesis 39:2
And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
In the pit, in the house of Potiphar, in the prison, in the palace......what a life! Joseph was a prosperous man, not only in the palace, but even before. Why was he prosperous? The Lord was with Him. How was He prosperous? The Lord was with Him. How did He keep his integrity and find favor in each destination? You got it.......the Lord was with Him! Not only was the Lord with Joseph, but Joseph lived his life in fellowship with God, always looking for opportunities to allow God to use him, and always on the look out for the pitfalls that would rob him of the fellowship that he desired and loved. Maybe you would describe your current situation as the "palace", or maybe the "prison". Whatever the case may be, please don't think that either one defines your prosperity. Your prosperity is defined by your friendship with God, and no one can take that away. If the Lord is with you, He will use you, and He will lead you from the pit of abandonment to the palace of God's grace and favor.
When I first went to Cuba in 20000 I met a people that were rich in things that could not be bought with dollars & cents. In America we have a tendancy to look at proserity as our "stuff". Blessed are the pure in heart was what I learned about these people. They knew how to pray for what they did not have and pray untell it came, all night if nessary. My first trip was a building project and we needed concrete for the roof, the goverment said no. The ladies started praying. They went to the office and prayed stayed up all night and prayed and went back to the office and waited and prayed. Many "no's" later the conceret was granted. This was an unheard of thing to happen for a church in that country. Blessed & prosperous are the same. If your roof does not leak & you have food on your table you are prosperous. Now there were more miracles of the concrete @ LaRoseta for another time but if your children are healthy and your bills are paid (even if you don't know how) you are blessed.

God has shown me that He is always with us no matter what! When my dad went to heaven, I was in a great deal of pain and shock and God was with me. When I relapsed God stayed with me. When I wake up God is there!
