Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

There is a promise here for the seeker. It's a promise that says if you will seek Him, you will find Him. How much energy do we spend seeking our healing instead of seeking the Healer? We seek our deliverance, when instead we should be seeking the Deliverer! In John chapter 6 Jesus feeds five thousand people by miraculously multiplying bread. He later said "I am the bread of life". Everything we need is found in Him, but in seeking what He can give or do, we often miss what we really need.........Him. That's why the psalmist speaks of seeking His face. There is no greater feeling in the world than to get so close to God that you can feel His expressions, and you can sense His smile. God wants us that close, and even closer. Press through whatever it is that keeps you complacent, and start seeking God today.

  1. A PROMISE for the seeker..... If we seek Him, we WILL find Him. I looked up the word seek in the Greek text and one of the definitions was "to crave". Now the question for me is, "Do I crave Him"? Think about what it means to crave something and ask yourself, do I crave God Almighty? God I pray that you would give me the "appetite" to CRAVE You!!
