Dan 10:12 ..from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard...
Daniel was a man of prayer, and there is no doubt about it. Not even the lion's den could keep Daniel from keeping his prayer life consistent. That's why our scripture today is very important, especially when we look at the circumstances leading up to it. Daniel prayed earnestly before the Lord, but did not receive an answer for twenty-one days. I feel the need to tell you today that your delay is not a denial. In the case with Daniel, the delay was caused by the enemy trying to fight against God's Word. We sometimes fail to understand that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but it is a spiritual war. As believers, when we pray, God hears us. He not only hears us, but responds to our faith with action on our behalf. Not only does God respond to our prayers, but I also believe that the enemy of our souls also responds to our prayers. The devil responds by trying to bring us discouragement. He responds by attacking our minds with temptation, or even condemnation in order to bring doubt into our hearts concerning God's desire to answer us. Our scripture tells us that he even fights against God and His heavenly hosts concerning the prayers of His people. What I want us to get from this is that even though there has been a delay to your prayer, it does not mean denial, but by faith believe that God heard you the very first time that you asked Him. The answer is on the way, and no power in hell can stop Him. Amen
I also believe that by faith God hears our prayers immediately. But also that if we praise him for doing what we asked it is done. Other thoughts may come and in my walk usually do. Knowing that each little fire God allows me to go through also wroughts me into more of what God wants for my destiny in Christ. As Pastor says it happened to Daniel with lions , so what kind of lions are we facing in this day and age of plenty. Meaning plenty of abundance in worldly things and plenty of temptation also. Ken
