Romans 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
This is a wonderful passage about how a person is born again, and has their sins washed away to become the righteousness of God. It also shows us another truth about how our heart and our mouth are connected. You can try to hide what's in your heart, but before long your mouth will tell on you! A defeated life is revealed to others by words of defeat. Likewise, victorious words come forth from a victorious heart. Our mouth will quickly reveal our attitude, and attitude is birthed down deep in the soul. So how do I change the way I speak or the nature of my heart? The Word of God. Hearing the Word of God will bring change to a hardened, bitter or broken heart. Before long, even your words and their tone will change! It can also work the other way around. Changing our words to His Word can bring change into our heart. If you say something long enough, you will eventually believe it, and this can be detrimental when they are words of death. Why not replace what you feel like saying with what Jesus would say? I challenge you to do that today, but when you do, don't be surprised when your heart feels different......in a good way.

I remember growing up with a family mindset and a family vocaulary that was in retrospect deadly! Not all of it was bad, but when it was bad it was really bad. Death was about to completly be born in me when God reached out His hand to save. My heart was full of death and I would talk about wanting to die. My mindset was hopelessness and helplessness. I didnt see a way out of the misery but to die. But when God gave me a new heart and a new spirirt things began to change drasticly! My thought became full of hope and life! Eventually as I allowed what was in my heart to come out of my mouth my life changed a lot. And ever since that day I have been living a new life with a new mindset , new vision for the future. I am getting excited about it! I can feel the mighty resurrection power flowing through my spirit! Praise God! He is mighty to save!
