Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,
You are not an accident. God has called you from your mother’s womb, and He has a purpose and a plan for your life. You have a God-given destiny and it is all according to His grace! When Paul wrote this passage, I’m sure that He thought back to the time when he diligently and fervently persecuted the church. He actively had believers in Christ killed. And then everything changed on the road to Damascus. He met Jesus, and discovered that God had a specific plan for his life. Paul could vividly remember how God didn’t remove his passion, but changed the object of his passion. In other words, Paul redirected his energy to spread the gospel and instead of a mission to destroy the kingdom, Paul lived his life to grow the kingdom of God. I sometimes wonder what God could do with a converted terrorist in our day. Someone who is willing to be a suicide bomber, and kill the innocent…….what if their blinded eyes were opened to believe in the resurrected Jesus? No doubt that the kingdom needs some more sold out believers who will forsake all for the sake of the gospel. What is your passion? Chances are that God wants to redirect those passions to do the very thing that He created you for. Amen
Thank God for His calling, even from the womb! When I think about God having a plan for me, it excites me! I am intrigued to figure it out. Doubt and fear begins to disappear and confidence and assurance strengthens my resolve. What are we good at or passionate about? I once was a intense drug addict and thought I was destined to be one for ever. But thanks to God , when I heard He had a plan for me and that it was good and full of hope, my destiny was changed! God lead me to act on that faith and I lived with the same passions I had before. I couldn't get enough,I didn't care who saw me drinking new wine in praise to Him,I was hooked! And the results are completely different than what I got from drugs and alcohol. Instead of more shame I received forgiveness, instead of wasting my life sticking needles in my body, I am allowing Jesus to come in and give me life!
