Psalms 32:2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
I love how the Message Bible translates this verse. It says “Count yourself lucky-God holds nothing against you and you’re holding nothing back from Him.” That is a freedom that only believers in Jesus Christ can know. I do count myself lucky……extremely lucky, although sometimes I do take it for granted that God has wiped my slate clean, I mean there is a lot that God could hold against me if He so desired. The fact that He doesn’t is one of the most amazing things…..I fail to grasp it completely! Holding nothing back from God brings a new dimension to my fellowship with Him as my Lord, Savior and Friend. No more running and hiding when I fail, just humbleness and honesty before the One who knows even the intentions of my actions. What could I hide from Him anyway? By hiding nothing from Him, I live with a freedom knowing that He has hidden my sins……I am lucky indeed! Amen.
