GFYD 11-18-11 "Jesus is Enough"

Leviticus 2:11 "No grain offering which you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering to the Lord made by fire." 

The grain offering speaks of Jesus. The life of Christ was a perfect offering to God. The grain offering was not to have any leaven or honey added. Leaven represents the human element, or an additive made by man to try and make the substance better. When it comes to the obedience of Christ, nothing needs to be added.........He stands sufficient and complete. Many times we feel that we need to tweak and twist the Gospel to make it work better..........we want to add the human touch to something that was established by God. We try to elevate the supernatural by means of the natural.........it doesn't work. Although our methods of presenting the message can change to bring effectiveness to our audience, the Gospel stands alone.........and needs nothing added. It is as simple as "for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life". Amen
