Grace For Your Day 10-18-11

2 Kings 6:17
And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
The king of Syria sent horses and chariots to Dothan where Elisha and his servant were. You see, Elisha had been telling all the secrets of the king of Syria and the king was fed up with the prophet. That morning, the servant of Elisha walked outside, and to his horror, they were completely surrounded by the armies of Syria. He quickly ran to Elisha and told him the bad news. Elisha wasn’t shaken at all, however, because he knew that when it comes to God, there is more than meets the eye. After God opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant, the picture changed completely with the truth of overwhelming odds in Elisha’s favor! What does all of this mean? To me it means that we can’t always trust our physical senses because God does a lot of His work in the spiritual realm. With your eyes you might be seeing insurmountable odds against you, but you’ve got lying eyes, because our God is greater and He is for you! I pray today that your eyes would be opened to see the massive armies of the heavenly hosts are ready to do battle on your behalf………you are not out numbered, you don’t have to be bullied any more. Amen
