Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
How do you start over? How do you start over again? It's hard, especially when you feel really bad about decisions that you made that were wrong, or failures that you're really ashamed of. I almost always find myself at Romans 5:8. It's here that I'm reminded about Gods unconditional love for me, and how He has seen me at my very worst and still died for me. Now it's one thing that God saw me in my favorable times.......times when I was faithful and on fire, but God's love was deep enough to die for me in my most wicked of conditions. That's how I start over. When I realize that God wasn't surprised by my stubbornness, pride and sin, on the contrary, He knew all about it and He didn't change concerning me. So what is it that's keeping you from starting over? It's time for you to refuse to listen to the deceiver, and to accept the truth of God's unfailing love. You can start over, and don't be surprised when God throws a party on your behalf. Amen

His mercies are new every morning!
ReplyDeleteEither we fail to see our need to start over or we fail to see God's grace for us to start over, both of which result in the same outcome, lack of a true realationship with the living God. We must realize that He knew we could not do it on our own and that's why He sent Jesus to make a way for us.
