Grace For Your Day 9-29-11

Proverbs 12:28 In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

That's a bold statement, isn't it. What is the way of righteousness, and how do we walk in it? The way of righteousness is the way of faith........more specifically, the way of faith in Jesus Christ. We have proven many times over that our righteousness is no righteousness at all, but when you bring faith into the picture, even death loses it's grip! Jesus, the only sinless man ever to walk the earth, walked up to the tomb of a man that had been dead for four days. He prayed a simple prayer to the Father, and then spoke to death, and death had to obey............Lazarus came hopping out! What was His secret? He was God. He was righteous. He said "I am the resurrection and the life. But here is the part that should excite all of us: He has given His righteousness to us! The very same power that conquered the grave lives in you and me! I don't have to be dominated by sin. I don't have to fear death! I am walking (actually, He is carrying me!) down the pathway of righteousness. Yaaaah God!
