Take Your Position

2 Chronicles 20:17 But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the LORD’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the LORD is with you!” When you realize that the battle belongs to The Lord, your game plan changes. The strategy for victory is simple: "take your position, then stand still" and watch God win! Our job is to stand, and that means to have faith. Our position is one of believing. Believing in God who fights for us. In a race, there comes the moment when the announcer says "take your position". I can hear God's voice in my spirit saying "take your position", trust in God, dig your feet into the ground, set your self. No matter what, believe. No matter what you see, no matter what your hear, no matter what you feel, take your position and stand! From your position of faith, you are about to see God do what you can't, win what you can't, overcome what you can't. Don't be afraid or discouraged, for The Lord is with you! Take your position.

  1. Good word this morning! The Lord repeats this in the passages on spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6:10, 13, 14. Three times He tells us to stand firm which in the original language has the sense do "hold your position"! I will fight when The Lord says fight but I would much rather let Him do the fighting! He is always the victor! Bless you Jonathan!
