Slow Down and Fast
Ezra 8:21
Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.
Sometimes it takes a fast to slow down and hear God's voice. When we fast, we put ourselves to the side, and we become more aware of God's presence, and that's a good thing! As in this passage, fasting brings humbleness, and direction. If you think about it, it's almost impossible to get direction if we don't become humble. Take it from a typical man that hates to ask for directions when I'm lost! When our flesh is under submission, we more readily understand our need for direction. His guidance is always the right way, and it is essential for us to follow it for the well being of us, our children, and even our possessions. Maybe fasting is something that you rarely do, or have never done. Don't underestimate the necessity for you to slow down and fast.

Thats true Brother Jimmy. The word and Pastor are right about the importance of fasting and seeking The Fathers direction for our lives. I have made too many mistakes following my own directions in my life. It is time for me to fast and seek Him. Good word Pastor. thanks
