God Did It

1 Chronicles 14:11 So David and his troops went up to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “God did it!” David exclaimed. “He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So they named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”). We have all faced opposition that seemed impenetrable, and the natural thing to do is to try and ignore that it's there, or to simply give up because of repeated failed attempts. Break through never comes by our efforts, and the sooner we realize that we can't, the better. That's why the words "God did it," that were exclaimed by David, resonates so deeply into my spirit. All of our victories must be contributed to God! Like he did with David, He will use us in the battle, but only as instruments that will reflect His glory and grace. The name given to the place here describes The Lord as "who bursts through". The wall of the enemy is great and mighty, but Baal-perazim will overwhelm, overflow, and cause us to overcome! God did it!
