Face the Wall

2 Kings 20:1,2 About that time Hezekiah became deathly ill, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to visit him. He gave the king this message: “This is what the LORD says: Set your affairs in order, for you are going to die. You will not recover from this illness.” When Hezekiah heard this, he turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD. Have you ever prayed in faith, even though others said there was no use? Have you ever trusted in God even though a doctor gave you a hopeless diagnosis? That is a prayer of faith. It's praying with your eyes on the spiritual instead of the physical. Hezekiah took it to a whole other level. He wasn't told by a friend, or a doctor that he was going to die. He was given the bad news by God! When The Lord tells you to get your affairs in order, that's serious business. But instead of getting ready for what was coming, Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and he prayed. I think that it would do us all good to turn our face to the wall and pray. When you turn your face to the wall, you get down to business, you face the problem, you set your priorities......you pray until the answer comes. For Hezekiah, the answer came. God heard his prayers and saw his tears, and He healed Hezekiah. I don't see any reason why He couldn't do the same for you! Are you serious and earnest enough to face the wall and pray? If so, your prayers will not go unheard, and there is no telling what God might do for you!
