Call it Something
2 Kings 3:20
The next day at about the time when the morning sacrifice was offered, water suddenly appeared! It was flowing from the direction of Edom, and soon there was water everywhere.
Israel and Judah's armies needed water in a bad way, but it was nowhere to be found. After consulting with Elisha, the Lord promised water in a supernatural way. Sure enough, they awoke to more water than they needed, and it hadn't even rained a drop! God's blessings and provisions often come in ways that are unexpected, and even supernatural. That's why we can't look at natural means to determine what God will do. If Israel would have been able to look at a weather map, they would have just given up right then and there because there was no rain on the way. We are often tempted to look at what's in front of us that we can see, but we forget that we serve The Lord that can look at nothing, and call it something (Romans 4:17)! As His children, we can speak by faith and trust in Jehovah Jireh. If you are in need of a miracle, but you can't see anything happening, just look at the nothing.....and call it something!
