I've Got Backup

2 Samuel 22:18,19 He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me. I can't take the devil on by myself. He's too strong for me. I can't overcome my sinful tendencies on my own. They are also too difficult for me to control. I would be completely helpless if it were not for The Lord who supports me.....but what a difference He makes! My enemy knows all too well when it's best to attack me. It's when I am in distress, under duress, in a bind, confused and afraid. That's when the roaring lion pounces on what appears to be easy prey (1 Peter 5:8). But there is one all too important fact; it's when I'm weak that His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9)! So go ahead and kick me when I'm down, but you might want to look over your shoulder, because I've got backup!
