Key to Heaven's Gates
Judges 13:20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
The angel of the Lord came with a message that Manoah and his wife would have a son. Manoah requested that the angel stay until he could give an offering unto the Lord. As the offering was given, the angel ascended in the flame of the altar up into heaven. With their thanksgiving, they opened up the gates of heaven (Psalm 100:4)! We must take this to heart, and understand that our worship unto God becomes a highway for the Lord to do great things. Praise never goes unnoticed, and when we give to the Lord, it is received in heaven. We may not see it like the parents of Samson did, and we might not feel like anything happened, but by faith we know that heaven is moved! Let's make a commitment to worship, pray and praise with purpose and a thankful heart, knowing that Heaven's gates will open up to receive it.
