Wake Up Call
Judges 10:14 Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
Talk about a wake up call! To paraphrase, God said "I have delivered you from Egypt, and every other nation that has come against you. I deliver you, and you forsake me. I deliver you again, and you forsake me again. I'm fed up, and I won't deliver you this time. Go and cry out to the gods that you chose instead of me!" I can imagine that those words must have really hit home, because Israel began throwing away their false gods that day. False gods seem like fun until you actually need them to be god like, then they are a big disappointment. People who worship money find out fast that money doesn't buy everything, and money also brings many trials and troubles along with it (1 Timothy 6:10). When you worship a substance, you soon realize that it's only a temporary thrill that leads to a permanent destruction. When all is said and done, there is only one solution, one source, One God. And even though we have all made the wrong choice many times, the One true God is merciful, slow to anger and ready to respond to our cry for deliverance. Lets receive this Word today as a wake up call to turn from the fakes and turn to the One True GOD.

Wow!!! What a great truth. How scary it would be to hear God utter those words to us. Talk about being helpless and hopeless. Without God being GOD in our life we have no hope. Thank you Jesus.
