The Right Choice

Joshua 24:15 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Everybody has a god. Everyone serves someone or something. Some people have many gods, while others simply exalt themselves as god. Joshua was a man of purpose. He was a go getter. He wasn't going to halfway do anything. You can hear his heart as he commands the people to make up their minds and to solidify their allegiance. Joshua did not have a wishy washy faith, and he would not be persuaded by someone else's choice. He and his house would serve the Lord. What is your decision? Are you swayed by the world's idols? Is your heart divided? Let us take a hard look at our lives, and an even closer look at God's gracious ways toward us. Then the choice will be overwhelmingly obvious. Make the choice today for you and your house to serve the one true God. It is the right choice!

  1. I believe that we serve God as well as we can. There are always things that we need to completely surrender to His care but over all we do serve the Lord. It hurts when I find out that I am not completely surrendered to His will, but this is the process. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, in Jesus name!
