Faith Praise

Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

You can't underestimate the power of praise, especially when you praise Him with expectation. The praise that Israel shouted was a faith praise. They had marched around those menacing walls for six days. Now it was time to shout, but as they began to shout, the walls were still standing. It's easy to praise after the walls fall, but that praise is a thanksgiving praise. A faith praise is a praise that goes up and causes victory to occur. I love to confound the enemy, and nothing confounds him more than a faith praise! An attack on a fortified city like Jericho usually took very long periods. They would lay siege on a city, surrounding it and waiting on the inhabitants to starve to death. The walls of the city made it almost impossible to win any other way. Waiting out the enemy gives recognition to his strong defense and mighty arsenal, but this is not how we fight against the devil. As God's chosen children, we don't wait him out, we drive him out! We identify his strongholds, but we do not recognize his authority to keep them. Instead, we march with a God-given authority to claim what is ours. This mindset and attitude becomes a faith praise that lines up with the Word of God and agrees with the promises of God. As a result, every wall that is built up with a purpose to keep us out of our destiny.........falls flat! Don't wait on the enemy to give up, or for the walls to come down. Make it happen with a praise of faith!
