His Word Always Works
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Trust is hard to earn, and yet very easily lost. I wish that I could say that I've never given someone a reason not to trust me, but I can't. As hard as I have tried, I have had times when I didn't keep my word completely. And it really doesn't matter if it was out of my control or not. A broken promise can ruin trust very quickly. I've also trusted others only to be disappointed. It's just the way it is with people, including me. But God is not a man, and lying is not a possibility when it comes to Him. He can and should be trusted. Whatever He has spoken, you can depend upon it. His faithfulness doesn't vary, even when our faithfulness fails. It would do us good to find all that He has spoken, and claim it as ours. Although we can be all talk with little action, God's Word always works!

It's always refreshing to know that we serve a God that not only talks the talk but follows through with His promises. The times that we feel He did not come through for us when we look back we can see it was us that did not come through in fulfilling our end of the bargen or It really was not good for us in the long run. Thats why its so important to find the Word of God to stand upon, because He IS Faithful to compleat it! Sister Diane

ReplyDeleteWhat a great attribute of God! Faithfulness is such a beautiful trait. I can only surrender to God's will in hopes to be as faithful as He. I appreciate Your faithfulness and Your inability to lie. I receive affirmation of this in Jesus' name,Amen!
