God's Promises Don't Die

Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

Moses was dead. Now what? Could anybody replace the man who spoke with God face to face? What would happen to Israel? Would they all die in the desert? No, they wouldn't die, but instead they would march triumphantly into the promised land and begin possessing what God had given. You see, people might die, but God's promises don't! There are so many precious promises in God's Word that we can count on. In an ever changing world, we serve an unchanging God, and even though leaders may fail, God never has and never will! The Bible declares that God has prepared a place for us that is unimaginable, and one day He will return to get us and take us there! We must comfort each other with these words (1Thes. 4:18), especially when circumstances change, because God's plan doesn't hinge upon any individual person. His plan hinges upon Him, and He will bring it to pass!

  1. It's encouraging to know that the promises of God aren't dependent upon man but upon God Himself.
