God Make Us Great
Deuteronomy 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
What makes a nation great? Is it wealth, or power? Is it the influence that it possesses upon other nations? Although these characteristics might be found in a great nation, it isn't what makes a nation great. What makes a nation great is the favor of God! A nation that calls upon the Lord is a nation destined for greatness. You can even bring it in a little, and say that a state, a city, a community can be great if the Lord is near to it. What about a family? Yes, a good family becomes a great one when it calls upon the Lord. We have all heard the saying "a family that prays together, stays together". That statement has never been more accurate than it is today, but more than ever before, we have so many obstacles and distractions that hinder our unity as a family, a community, a city, a state, and a nation. How do we change it? How do we move from good to great on the national level? We must begin at home. We could change one word in this verse, and it would read "For what FAMILY is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them....". Let's strive to get God near unto us. "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...." (James4:8) God make us great again!

ReplyDeletefamily even as we pray each day that is only the start...begin with me forgive my sins for you know how frail we are...only don't let this be an excuse for any the old story of Isaiah 50:8 tells us.. all You are near that justified me, who will
contend with me or us ? let us stand together...who is mine adversary ? let him come near to me..so who can stand before the might of the Lion the tribe of Judah ? None. Who can thwart the plains of the very Creator of the Heavens ? None.and who could steel a single child from the hand of the conquering Lamb Himself ? There is no foe so great or force so terrifying as to hold any sway over the Son of God!as our Pastor has said many times...Take comfort in the strength of his arm and know of a
certainty that if He God is for you , then who
some one tell me ...I know cannot be found .none is against us Rom 8 ;31
