YES!

Leviticus 8:29
And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the Lord: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

The wave offering was a wonderful display of the finished work of Christ, and our acceptance before the Father. The offering would be raised up and waved before the Lord, and then would be consumed by the offerer or the priests. The most notable wave offering was the first fruits offering where the first of the harvest would be waved before the Lord to be accepted by Him before the remainder of the harvest could be enjoyed. This is extremely significant because Jesus rose from the grave on the first fruits, and while the wave offering was being waived by the Jews, the Lamb of God was presenting Himself before the Father as a first fruits offering. Was Christ accepted before God? Would there be a harvest to follow? As those early believers gathered together waiting in the upper room............the sound of a mighty rushing wind, and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit was a resounding "YES!" from God. Today we lift up holy hands to the Lord in worship and we are overwhelmed by the love of Christ that has made us "accepted in the beloved" (Eph. 1:6)

  1. I bet the Upper Room was rocking. It must have been awesome! It's great to know, too, that we can have that same kind of showdown in God's presence anywhere! God hasn't changed at all!
