Gotta Have His Presence
Numbers 10:35-36
35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee. 36 And when it rested, he said, Return, O Lord, unto the many thousands of Israel.
The journey in the wilderness included times of marching, and times of waiting. It had it's share of battles and other tests of faith. Moses understood that in the middle of uncertainty, there was one thing that was certain........whether they were moving or waiting, they needed the presence of God. To move forward in a foreign land that was inhabited by people that wanted them dead, meant that God's presence was desperately needed. To wait with anticipation about what was in store, meant that God's presence was desperately needed. Maybe it's just me, but I can hear the desperation in the words of Moses as he realized that every move they made hinged upon the presence of Almighty God. Maybe you are taking ground today, if so, pray that God would rise up and scatter the enemy. Perhaps you are waiting upon the Lord for direction and guidance, if so, pray the Spirit of the living God would rest upon you and strengthen you. No matter what, we need Your presence Lord!

Yes to claim the ground we walk on in Jesus mighty name
ReplyDeleteYes Lord, we need your Spirit more than ANYTHING else, and no matter where we are, Your Spirit is desperately needed........ For apart from you we can do nothing.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like the presence of God. Sure God lives in human vessels but He is not resticted by them. God can show up within us and among us. God can move on us as well as through us. I mean no challenge to the word today, I just think it's cool that His presence is in us and can show up from outside of us!
