From god to GOD

Exodus 29:46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.

It's the simple things that are the most important, and often missed in the Word of God. In this passage, Jehovah proclaims "I am the Lord their God". We read it, and then keep going, because we have heard the phrase many times before, but let's take a moment to let this truth sink in. Who did God say this to? Israel. Were they all obedient, fully surrendered children? Hardly! When I think of it that way, it really changes the whole reality of the phrase. God was their God, whether they knew it or not. He made them. He made everything. He is God, and He would be just if He didn't reach out to reveal Himself to the world, but He has in order to save us from our sins. He is God, and He wants you to know it. He wants you to know it because it's the only way that you can be released from the fatal wages of your sins. It's out of love that He speaks to us in our triumphs and our failures to reveal His sovereignty and deity so that you and I can clearly see that He is our God. Today you will pass by many people that don't believe that He is their God, but He is. You will pass by some who do know that He is their God, but have chosen to refuse Him, ignore Him, or have told Him "not yet". Everyone that you meet today, and everyone of the 6 billion people who currently live on our planet, all share this one truth........He is their God. The Bible says that one day everyone will bow down before Him and proclaim Him as Lord, but then it will be too late. I pray that today God will use you to lead someone away from their god, and to embrace and be embraced by their GOD. Amen.

  1. Amen!! May we be the instrument of reconciliation, reconciling our world to The God of all creation, in Whom dwells all the love, power, grace, mercy, and understanding that we will ever want or need.
