Exodus 8:10 .....Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.
The plagues upon Egypt were well under way. God had turned the waters into blood for seven days, and now frogs were everywhere that they shouldn't be. Was there a purpose for all of this? God could have easily delivered His people out of Egypt on the first day that Moses came before Pharaoh, but God was going to reveal Himself in a way that He hadn't revealed Himself before. He would show Himself as JEHOVAH, and Pharaoh would understand that He isn't just the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and now Moses, but He is the Lord, and there is none like Him. The magicians of Egypt tried to duplicate God's work, but failed miserably. Pharaoh would try to use his authority to resist God's power, but failed miserably. We too must understand that we are no match for the Lord, and God's enemies are no match for Him. How naive we must be to trust in another, or to live in fear of our adversaries. Both of these traits reveal our lack of understanding of His great power. Whether we choose to obey, or choose to rebel, we will come to know that He is JEHOVAH, and there is no one like Him. I pray today that you will stop fighting against Him, and let JEHOVAH fight for you, because He doesn't lose, ever!
I can't stand it when the flesh part of the old me comes back alive and causes trouble. The bible even says that our mind is at war with God. It's during these times that we need to be humbled by our God. And there is no God like Jehovah!
