Romans 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
As believers in Jesus Christ, we know about the significance of His death. His death on the cross was a substitutionary death. It was our sins that were judged upon His cross. God's wrath that should have been poured out upon us, was instead poured out upon Himself. All of our sins were washed clean by the blood of the spotless Lamb of God! Because of this, we were reconciled to Him. In other words, the separation that was caused by sin was removed, and we were brought into a right fellowship with our heavenly Father. All of this we know, but do you see what today's Scripture is telling us? If His death did that much for us, how much more will His resurrected life do for us! We are not serving a crucified Lord, we are serving a RISEN LORD! For too many, salvation is about a past experience and that's all, but a knowledge of Jesus' work as our Great High Priest and Intercessor, as well as our knowledge of the power of the Holy Spirit is an incredible motivator to live out our faith in a tangible way for others to see. The death of Jesus Christ took away my sinful past, but His life now gives me a present and future that includes the abundant life!

Wow! It seems to me that many of us are still living without the blessing of resurrection in mind.It reminds me of the video that pastor Jonathon played at church, in which peolpe were worshiping the crucified Christ and not the resurrected Christ. There is such power in the life that Christ gives! The power to bring dead things back to life! "Son of man can these dry bones live?" Yes we can live! He is the way the truth and the life. I believe in Him and that He lives inside of me, so I have resurrection power! Teach me, Jesus, how to practice using this incomparable power, in Jesus' name. Amen!
