James 5: 13
Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].

Christians don't debate whether or not Jesus was a healer.......it's in the Bible. Jesus healed everything from sickness, blindness, even death! He was a miracle worker and we have Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as undeniable witnesses. The debate enters when we ask, not if Jesus was a healer, but if He still is a healer. The easy way out is to say that healing was just a sign that God used to announce the coming of Jesus, and then was used by the early church to give the church a good "jumpstart" 2000 years ago. The doubters of God's ability to heal today would say that healing faded away after the Bible was completed because there was no more need for the miraculous. What? I believe that we have to twist and reason away too many scriptures, including the one that we are using today (especially verse 14), just to make an excuse for our lack of faith. But I don't blame the doubters of God's ability to heal as the reason that we don't see God do more. I blame those of us who know that God is still able and still desires to heal, but we do not operate in the faith that God has given to us. Why else would James say "Is anyone afflicted? Pray. Is anyone sick, Pray"....unless it's because we serve a God who really desires to say "yes" to what man says is impossible! Amen.
I have experienced emotional healing from Jesus first hand. Scared from past damage, my heart was in need of healing.I was still bleeding when I came to the church and God used His people and the gifts of the Holy Spirit to heal me. And that for me was a miracle from the living Jesus Christ. Nobody in this world can convince me other wise. I am also convinced that through a changed mindset my body received healing as well. God shows me that sometimes sickness and disease is linked with the brain and with our actions. Not in everycase though! What we think on can effect our bodies. What we say can effect how we feel and bring healing! Try it , I double-dog dare you!
