GFYD 1-31-12
I WILL BE POSTING VIDEOS AGAIN SOON.....THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
Jeremiah 29:11
Wouldn't it take a lot of pressure off to know that everything works out for your best in the end? Well, let the pressure release today and receive God's peace because our Scripture today says just that. If we are honest, it isn't today that bothers us so much. It isn't yesterday that causes anxiety and keeps us fearful. It's tomorrow that opens the door for worry in our life, and even when tomorrow becomes today and everything works out, we go right back to thinking about tomorrow again! That's why this is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It actually gives us insight into our God's thoughts that the Bible declares are not like ours. This verse was given to God's people while they were being held captive in Babylon. They would be in Babylon for 70 years, but they could know for certain that God was thinking of them and because of that, they would have a future and a hope. My prayer for all of us today is that we could think about God's thoughts toward us, and then live with a great expectation of what tomorrow will bring! Your future is BRIGHT. Amen

The words that stand out the most to me in this scripture today are," to give you a future and a hope". No matter what I look like now, no matter what you look like now, we've got a future, not just any future, but a God given, God ordained future! Guess what? There is still more. Not only do we have a future but also a God given hope. Regardless of the way it seems right now we have hope in God.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy to know that I dont have to do all of the planning by myself. God has a plan for me and my children. Our job is to surrender to those plans. I have been guilty of not asking God before making plans for our future. Usually it works out in the long run, but I always wondered what I missed out on. God's ways are higher than our ways and they are good and full of hope! Though it seems dark at times we can trust that God will be using it for our good.
