Leviticus 1:4 "Then he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him."
The implications are amazing when we consider that the New Testament reveals Jesus as our burnt offering unto the Lord. When the sinner placed his hand upon the burnt offering, which was an animal without blemish, the perfection or innocence of the animal was transferred to the sinner, therefore making him acceptable to God. The word "acceptable" in the Hebrew text doesn't mean just "ok"......it actually means favor and even delight! What an encouraging revelation to know that when we place our trust in Jesus, He becomes our righteousness, and we not only become acceptable unto the Lord, but we come under the favor of God and all of the great riches of His grace.......now that's enough to get happy about! Amen.

What can we say about Jesus and what He done for us? It amazes me every time that I think about it. How wonderful is our God that He would take away my sin and give me favour instead. I am so grateful and excited and scared silent all at once! I am accepted by God and He delights over me with His riches! Awesome and Amen!
