Romans 8:10
....I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts;
The Bible is big, and it is filled with lots of laws and commands and instructions for living. How can someone know how to serve God if they haven't read every word? What about a brand new believer who has never read the Bible at all? The answer is found in the finished work of Christ through the New Covenant. When Jesus died for our sins, His blood washed us from all unrighteousness. We received His Holy Spirit, which is far better than any written law could ever be. As Christians, the Spirit of God resides in our heart and teaches us how to serve Him and how to live in all of the many circumstances that this life brings. Before we sin, the Spirit checks us, and gives us the power to say no. Now it's up to us to give Him free reign in our life, and I believe that it can be accomplished by simply being available to fellowship with Him. Just remember, God has finished everything needed for your salvation. The power to live is in you!
