Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
I can’t keep from being attacked, it’s gonna happen. You could say that I have a target on my back. And it’s not just me, you have one too. Some people think that when someone believes in Jesus Christ and becomes a Christian, that everything becomes roses and rainbows. No more trials, no more struggles, no more battles. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Think about this for a minute: There are two teams, God leads one and Satan leads the other. God is fighting to save people from the penalty of their sins, and Satan is fighting to keep people away from God’s truth. God fights with love, and out of His love He gave His Son to die for the sins of all mankind. Satan fights with deception, and he is good at it! Now when I gave my heart to Jesus, I changed teams. I quit fighting against God’s love and embraced Him, but now I have an enemy who desires to keep me on the sidelines to prevent others from believing too! And that’s the reason for the darts. The fiery darts of the wicked with their intent to deceive me into thinking that God doesn’t really care, doesn’t really love…………it’s a good thing I have this shield! I know whom I have believed and no one or nothing is changing my mind! Amen

ReplyDeleteYou are never truly free until you believe it and thats the devils only tool to get us to doubt our victory. So believe it and walk in it. This the victory that has overcome the world even our faith.
ReplyDeleteEveryone fights battles, the saved and unsaved alike. The difference is that the grace and love of Jesus Christ is the armor and protection of those that love him. The unsaved have not yet found their hope.
