Everything He Gives is Greater

Psalm 4:7, 8 You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe. Money can buy a lot of things, maybe even happiness to some degree, but it has its limitations. Possessions can never bring joy or peace into your life. Joy is a fruit of the Spirit that the world can't give. You can't fake it, and there is nothing like it. It truly is a strength to us. Peace is often sought after through substances and relationships, but never achieved that way. As His children, we should live our lives with more joy than the wealthiest, and we should rest with more peace than those whose security is counted in dollars and cents. Why? Because He alone will keep us safe. God help us to trust in You more than our stuff, and to surrender to You until peace flows like a river. Help me learn to receive from You, because everything that You give is greater!
