Open Mouth, Insert Foot

Job 42:5, 6 I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.” After listening to the wisdom of God from God Himself, Job realized the error of his way. He was making assumptions about things that he knew nothing about, and his foolishness was exposed by his Creator. In essence, Job admitted to opening his mouth and inserting his foot! The Lord knows that I have done it a time or two myself, and wouldn't be surprised if I failed again in that area of my life again in the future. What I'm impressed with about Job, is that he admitted it, and that he took back what he had said. He showed a heart of repentance for doubting God, and it's no coincidence that God would soon begin to shower Job with blessings once again. I pray that we could all learn something valuable from Job here. Repentance is never a bad idea, and when we say or do things that aren't right, we should own up to it. Even more so when it's God who is on the other end of our words or actions. May God give us a greater vision of who He is so that we, like Job, can truly trust Him.

  1. Love Gods Word for today,
One of my scriptures I love not that I love to sin
but ,when I said or did wrong ,Ps.86:5
For thou,Lord ,art good and ready to forgive ,and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

    He never rejects any one
