The Lord of Heaven's Armies

1 Chronicles 11:9 And David became more and more powerful, because the LORD of Heaven’s Armies was with him. Do we realize who it is that fights for us? Do we forget that there is no opposition that can overcome the Lord of Heaven's Armies? We have an arsenal of artillery that is unparalleled, but we still sometimes choose to go unarmed. When we choose to live out each day outside of communion with Christ, we choose to disconnect from the armies of heaven and the power of The Lord of Hosts. Is He still with us? Yes, for He will never leave us, but the strength to overcome temptation and satanic assaults comes by way of an intimate and fresh relationship with Him, and a continual filling of the Holy Spirit. David's communion with God made him "more and more powerful". I've come to realize that my spiritual strength tends to grow more and more, or less and less. I'm either growing closer to Him, or drifting away. Drifting can occur when I choose to coast or become complacent, but coasting seems to only take you downhill! Like building muscles require exercise and strain, maturity in Christ will also be accompanied by self sacrifice and perseverance. The rewards that God gives us as we daily surrender to His will far outweigh the growing pains of our rebellious flesh. Let's march to the commands of our General, The Lord of Heaven's Armies!

  2. David had to physically take his sword and fight- he communed with the lord naked even- a very close relationship with nothing hidden--- now for us today- we need to bare our selves before the lord and the whole reason jesus came was so we did not have to fight like david did, god says just give the problems to him througfh faith and he will fight for us and he does not loose ever. so we must stand fast in his word and live under his grace and through faith god will do all for us- for no weapon formed against me shall rosper says my lord, if we fight we loose- it is a battle of principalities and powers- ask god to let yourself feel his glory- his awesome presence- come closer to him - pray pray pray
