Truth Twister

2 Kings 18:25 What’s more, do you think we have invaded your land without the LORD’s direction? The LORD himself told us, ‘Attack this land and destroy it!’” It's one of the most successful tools that the devil uses. Convincing God's people that God isn't for them. The devil is already a ruthless enemy, but when he takes away our confidence in God's care for us, he has us right where he wants us. The devil is not just a liar, he is a truth twister. Israel's past did include times where God removed His hand of protection, leaving His people vulnerable. These times were always preceded by idolatry and rebellion. Hezekiah was leading Judah back to God. He was tearing down idols, not building them. It was under Hezekiah's faithful leadership that the enemy threatened "the Lord Himself told us attack this land and destroy it!". Hezekiah chose to trust God instead of heeding the threats from the enemy. What do you choose to hear? God has promised that He would never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). If the enemy says anything to the contrary, even if he claims to speak for God......it's a lie.
