Kinsman Redeemer

Ruth 2:1 And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz. As a widow, Ruth could be redeemed by a qualified candidate. The man must be willing to redeem her, qualified to redeem her, and able to redeem her. Boaz met all of these stipulations and his marriage to Ruth brought her into the genealogy of David and Christ! As sinners, we were also in need of a redeemer, but redemption would require one who could meet all of the requirements. Jesus Christ, God in the flesh met every single one. He was willing. Willing enough to die on a cross for us. He was qualified. He became one of us, and walked in our shoes without sin as a spotless Lamb. He was able. All the riches and power of the universe belong to Him. Having met all of the stipulations, and paying the ultimate price for our redemption, there is only one thing left for us to complete our marriage to Him.........say "I do".

  1. Ah marriage! What a very interesting institution created by God! A picture of redemtion in the old testament. A new testament mystery says Paul. The thought of our creator wanting to be so intimate with us is super cool. The depths of His love for us is completely unsearchable! And thank God that it is so, what would do if we ran out of it! I do , two little words, so much hanging in the balance! Good thing we have a faithful Groom that will never leave us or forsake us! He is not a man that He should lie!I DO!
