It's a Set Up

Deuteronomy 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them. It's very easy to read over a passage and miss the most important part. In this verse, God says "I have set the land before you". It's an incredible statement that brings hope and builds faith. In other words, it's ready for the taking. The enemies are being "set up" for removal from Israel's land of promise, and the land is being prepared for Israel's arrival!  While God's people were wandering, while they were coming out of Egypt, even while they were still in Egyptian bondage, God was preparing their land and setting things in place for their arrival. Although we are often surprised at the obstacles that come our way from day to day, God is never caught off guard......NEVER. I'm reminded of David who said "Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies..." (Psalms 23:5). What comfort it brings to us when we realize that, in every circumstance, God has gone before us to prepare the way. The next time that you find yourself in a battle, don't fret, because there is a table that has been set so that you can glory in God in the presence of your enemy! The devil has been set up, and your promises have been set before you so that you can live the abundant life.

Ps 6:9 The Lord has heard my supplication..the Lord will receive my prayer...The Lord's ears are aroused to here the cries of his people and there pleas...he is faithful to answer each and everyone, let us all take Joy in the loveliness of the Lord and give glory to his mighty name even as he answers in peace and comfort
