Grace For Your Day 10-12-11

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Why is it important to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit? Because the Spirit reveals to us who we are in Christ. It’s the Spirit that speaks life into our hearts and gives us hope in the middle of our difficult circumstances. The Spirit is in great contrast to our carnal minds. My mind often tells me that I’m not good enough, that I’m a failure, that I’ll never live up to the standards that I have set. That’s why it’s so crucial for me to take the time to hear God’s voice each day, and to believe what He says more than how I feel. When I’m feeling defeated, He says that I am more than a conqueror! When I’m feeling condemned, He says that there is no condemnation! When I’m feeling week and vulnerable, He speaks into my life and says that His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness! But this is the most important thing……….when I come to God with all my disappointments and struggles, expecting Him to give me what I deserve……….instead the Spirit says to me “I love you son”, and then I remember again that I am His child. Thank you Holy Spirit, and help me to never forget again. Amen
